Market Holidays

The stock market is closed to observe certain federal holidays each year.

Every year, the Pakistan Stock Exchange may close on certain days like Eid-ul Fitr, Eid-ul Azha,  New Year, Pakistan Day, and more.

The bond market is closed for all federal holidays.

In the international market, The NYSE and NASDAQ holidays included are New Year's Day (January 1st), Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (Third Monday in January), President’s Day (Third Monday in February), Good Friday (Friday before Easter), Memorial Day (Last Monday of May), Independence Day (July 4th), Labor Day (First Monday in September), Thanksgiving Day (Fourth Thursday in November), and Christmas Day (December 25th).

If the holiday falls on a weekday, there is no trading activity on the exchange. If the holiday occurs on the weekend, the exchange will be closed either the Friday prior or the Monday after, except for New Year's.

Normally Exchanges informed their investors about all upcoming holidays as well.
